ABOUT PILGRIM CAMP'S DRESS CODE
At the very beginning of camp (in 1946), the Lord clearly impressed upon the founders and leadership that if we kept Pilgrim Camp set apart and "Holy [wholly] unto the Lord," that He would be faithful to meet with His people and would keep His presence on these grounds. In keeping with our desire to please the Lord and not to “conform to the pattern of this world” (Romans 12:2), the following dress code is expected of all Pilgrim Camp guests and staff members.
WOMEN: Modest dress required at all times. No low tops, spaghetti straps, or short- shorts. Slacks permitted for sports and leisure, but no jeans, pants or shorts in the worship services. Beachwear should consist of modest one-piece bathing suits. A robe or large towel covering is required to and from the beach.
MEN: Must maintain modesty as well, wearing a T-shirt or equivalent in addition to modest swim trunks at the beach. No shorts in the worship services. A robe or large towel covering is required to and from the beach.
